back to school

we absolutely love preschool, and i personally have been looking forward to this day for several weeks now! not that i don't love spending every day with my kids - but it's nice to get a break for a few hours, and it's really great to see how much lucy's actually learning and developing when she spends time with her peers. 

we started back last week, and we're all so glad to be back in the swing of things!

here's my jive little school girl in a new-to-her outfit (thanks, andrea!), all ready for her first day...

and for a little nostalgic comparison, this was last year's first day of preschool (read: first time being away from mommy).
she was so thrilled to go to school and meet new friends - it was all i could do to get her to stand still long enough to snap this...

that was back when i was still using my teeny tiny powershot a710. i still have it, cute little thing. 

i'm thinking it might be a good practice camera for goosey girl. :)
