2015 holiday portraits: baby elle

i love having school-aged children, honestly i do. 

they're both at such great ages, and it's a really sweet season of life we're in.

but sometimes, when i need a break from the disciplining,

and the answering of the many questions, 

and listening to the re-telling of the dream from the night before 

that just doesn't seem to end,

but it's morning and it's still fresh in their minds, so they must tell every little part of it, 

even though i haven't even had my first sip of coffee,

because they have no idea their mother is not a morning person...

it's those times that i love sneaking away to a quiet little home with an infant baby

who doesn't have a care in the world.

who's parents just kiss and cuddle and love on her,

and she smiles and coos because life is absolutely wonderful,

and she's cozy and happy,

and has a furry puppy to pet whenever he gets close enough to touch.
