tricks or treats
we went trick-or-treating for the first time this year, and had so much fun... lucy loved getting dressed up as the pumpkin princess, and loved even more getting to walk around to the neighbors' houses for candy.
check out her backwards-fist knock...
instead of saying "trick-or-treat", lucy shared a knock-knock joke...
knock-knock.
who's there?
phillip.
phillip who?
phillip my bag with candy, please!
the pumpkin boy wanted nothing to do with my camera, and didn't really care too much for all the walking around. he decided to head for the stroller pretty early on...
we ran into a few friends along the way.
love these next shots of lucy with her neighborhood friend, geneva...
remember this little cutie...??
new neighbor, noah...
... and his sister, kaitlyn...
and these guys showed up, too... :)
we finally decided to go home and have dinner, then passed out candy to other trick-or-treaters... we were so excited that this little dude stopped by to say hey. :)
i'd say our first trick-or-treating experience was a success - lucy filled her bucket with loads of stuff that we love, and she didn't even realize she was supposed to get any of it.
this will probably be the first and last year we get away with that.
Your Lucy is too cute! I love her costume and that is the best knock knock joke ever! I am going to teach the kids that one.
ReplyDeleteI love that you are eating all her candy and she has no idea she can have it. HA The benefit of being a parent.
Hey, I know Geneva AND I love Geneva!! She's in my Monday 5pm class.
