thanksgiving recap
i thought i'd take a break from all the holiday family sessions, and share a few personal pictures from thanksgiving day at my grandparents'. we normally go there every year, and as always, we filled ourselves to the brim with an unbelievable assortment of maw-maw's food... ham, turkey, gravy, dressing, mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, a sweet potato dish that tastes like it should be a dessert, deviled eggs, biscuits, cranberry sauce, and 5 or 6 cakes and pies. and sweet, sweet, glorious tea.
it's better than coke. :)
of course there are no pictures of any of the food because i was either too busy feeding the kids or eating it myself. but i did manage to take some pictures after lunch, when a few of us went out for a walk.
here's one of the many birdhouses in my grandparents' back yard. paw-paw has fashioned a whole slew of them - there's nothing fancy about them, but i still think they're adorable...
my sis and lucy...
cute sis...
cute cousin...
i remember we used to sit on these when i was little, when they were still shiny...
my cousin found this along the property a while back, and paw-paw thought it would be funny to put on his shed. lucy couldn't quite figure out what was going on here...
and on that note, happy monday everyone!
your family is so beautiful! It's sorta annoying;)
ReplyDeleteIt was all gorgeous . . . and then that scary ass thing. I swear, I may have nightmares about that.
