how many gumballs can fit in one hand?
we went to a nearby park the other day, just to get out of the house and give the kids a chance to burn up some energy... i almost didn't bring my camera because the park has some construction going on, and no one was really dressed for picture-taking (plus it's just one more thing to have to keep up with). but i'm so glad i did because after i loaded the images onto my computer, i realized that i'd captured some really great moments with corbin that i never want to forget. he's a year and a half, and this is by far my favorite stage with him (although i do miss those teeny tiny newborn days).
this series of images shows a lot of corbin's little 18 month-old quirks and traits that i absolutely adore... like the way he walks, belly stretched out as far as it will go, and chin tucked down as he watches the ground. or how he has to have a truck/car/train/whatever other small thing he can find in one hand at all times... the way he squats down to inspect something, and can stay in that squatting position for minutes on end. and his current fascination with gumballs, and his enthusiastic pursuit of picking up each and every one he sees.
and i love that in this first picture, he's in his daddy's shadow...
