snow days!

happy snow days, charlotte! 

we went to freedom park monday morning for some sledding... we did this last year for the first time, and i loved it because it was so fun seeing this little community of locals coming out to play. plus, there's just something about the sounds of sleds gliding down the hills, the kids laughing and squealing, the ice crunching beneath my feet. i just love it!

i was so excited to go this year - of course as soon as we got out of the car, both of the kids had mini meltdowns. but we all held it together and made it up to the top of the hill - this is what it looked like when we got there (the ducks in the pond crack me up)...

corbin loved his first sled ride...

but wasn't too happy when it was lucy's turn...

lucy's friend, sophia and her dad met us at the park, and joined in on the sledding fun...

lucy couldn't seem to get enough of the snow - every time i turned around, she was shoveling it in her mouth...

later on in the afternoon, we played in our yard - and lucy ate more snow...

thanks to the hubby for taking this next one (notice lucy chowing down)...

yay for snow days!
